Delightful little cafe with an incredibly attentive owner who's more than happy to make recommendations or alterations if required. The mango and stilton sausage roll was excellent (it's a more subtle flavour than it sounds like) and the toasties are very generously filled. A great find.

Birthday treat. I have never seen so much food! All delicious and fresh. One gluten free in our party and this was not a problem. Staff very friendly and helpful. Took pics of our little party for us. Such good value. Would definitely recommend and will definitely return. Thank you so much.

We had a lovely lunch. With the help of some great recommendations from the staff, we enjoyed a delicious meal: the creamy mushrooms with Stilton were absolutely outstanding and a definite must-try. The service was super friendly and welcoming, and we even got some great tips on things to do in the area. A very cozy and enjoyable experience. We definitely recommend to go here!

202t update...Beautiful food and coffee here! Latest visit.... Amazing coffee and delicious banana loaf. Carrot cake not the best today. Update.... Popped in for a delicious afternoon lunch Must say pork bap with dripping gravey was awesome and so was my partner's omelette. Crusted new roasted potatoes were excellent. Good traditional tea here and super coffee!! Would definitely revisit and highly recommended. Delightful cafe serving up some excellent coffee and cake. Also there's main meals available which I've not had the pleasure in trying yet. But I can recommend the toast banana bread, absolutely delicious with a perfectly made cappuccino. Staff pleasant, attentive and helpful. Highly recommended

i booked high tea for my for my mums 50th and we were made to feel so special by the staff at hog bean. they were v welcoming and attentive. we had chosen this place as they were able to offer gluten free options. the food was magnificent and there was a huge amount to go around we couldn’t quite believe it ! we had enough to take home and enjoy for some time after! thank you for making my mums 50th birthday so special , we would without doubt recommend hog bean to others. thank you so much :))

Me and my wife were in Deal for the May Bank Holiday Monday and were surprised to find so many eateries closed. And a good few of those open didn't seem to really describe what they were serving. I remarked "How hard is it ? Be open, have a good range of decent grub, tables inside and out and a take-away option. And a menu or A board on display !" So pleased we walked the entire length of the main high street and found Hog and Bean. Did exactly what a good cafe should and welcomed us as friends. Attentive, polite, quick and efficient and seemed dedicated to the noble art of catering to customers. Hot sausage roll was exactly that, hot - and clearly handmade. My wife's tuna melt was perfect and came with a fab side salad / slaw. Simple stuff done properly. Turns out it isn't that hard if you enjoy what you do and care about it.

Just had a take away from this very friendly cafe, although we could also easily have sat in. Tuna melt was delicious and came with a decent side salad and coleslaw. Cakes looked good too!

We had visited Deal Castle, I had hungry kids at 2pm and loads of local food venues shut (during the summer holidays) so we walked a little further to eat here but so pleased we did. The food was delicious, the staff were so friendly. Kids really enjoyed their milkshakes
